Load Shedding
The load shedding function shall protect the electrical power system against lost
of power generation, in order not to black out. Fast load shedding will be applied
in case of lost of generation supply power due to PLN trip or Gas Genset Trip or
emergency supply Diesel Trip. This function includes load shedding sequence and
also modification of the relevant parameters from an Operator Workstation.
The Operator Workstation (OWS) is the HMI computer located into the Control
Room, on which physical person will set the load shedding parameters of every
sheddable load.
The Main PCMS panel located in the Control Room. This PLC is the central
component of the load shedding function. It will receive the load shedding setting
from the OWS and elaborate the list equipment to shed according to different pre-
calculated scenarios.
